The Sweetbriar family

Meet the Sweetbriar mice- a family new to Foxbridge. They have just settled down in their new home, Poppy Cottage, and love life in the village. Here's a look at their beautiful home.

Father Jason is a handyman, and can fix up anything. He’s made Poppy Cottage absolutely gorgeous, and everything, from dripping taps to a dusty windowsill, now looks perfect. He loves coming in from a long day and giving his wife a big kiss, before settling down to playing with his children.
Hannah is the proud mother of three children, and currently enjoys just staying at home with her littlest. She’s not completely off the hook, though, as her drive to help others means she volunteers to help Roberta Blackberry with her weekend art classes at Forest Nursery, and she also goes into Foxbridge Academy one morning a week to tidy up the library and hear the little children read.

Marc is the oldest child, and always has a smile on his face. He is a noisy little thing when he’s outside with his friends, but when he’s in the classroom, he’s a star student. He wants to be an architect when he grows up, as it combines his favourite things: history, digging and getting very muddy indeed.

Macie is a giggly, happy young mouse, and is never happier than when she gets to spend breaktimes outside with her friends. She is especially good at making things, and her best skill is daisy chains- nobody can understand how she can make them so long and yet they never fall apart. Her little brother loves it when she makes him a special small one.
Macie recently went exploring with her friends, in my story The Enormous Blackberries. You can read it by clicking on the link!

Although the tiniest member of the Sweetbriar clan, little Milo has stolen everybody’s hearts, and is at the centre of the family. He loves to spend time with everyone, and as the noisiest baby in Foxbridge, makes sure they all know! Milo’s cheeky grin is irresistible, and it means that he gets away with a few more biscuits than Hannah would have planned on giving him! However, at the end of the day, he loves nothing more than a bottle of warm milk and his cosy cot.
I'm not completely finished with this house yet, but I love how it looks so far. I plan to add some cosy red rugs to the floors so that Milo's paws don't get too cold, and he has a brand new nappy to wear when I next see him.
Love,
Fox xx

  2. What a lovely family - and I really love the surname you have chosen! Mice are some of my favourite Sylvanians - we don't have any Maces mice yet in Macadamia Grove, but maybe one day...! I look forward to hearing about the Sweetbriars' adventures.

    1. Thank you! Sweetbriar is the name of a cottage we stayed in this summer, and I thought it sounded so pretty. I love mice too, and think this family is gorgeous. I think they'd love to see Macadamia Grove- we should collab if you do get some!
