Our miniatures
This is our first post! In it, we've decided to show you some of our favourite DIY miniatures for now, and if you like them, we can put up some tutorials.
This art easel was made at Easter 2018: using red paint, a handful of cocktail sticks, two broken small paintbrushes, an old SF cup, cardboard, a tiny chunk of pencil eraser, a piece of cardboard, two pegs and a lolly stick- we also added a ladybird charm to add some fun! This is modelled by Pedro Lopez in the room shared with his sister, Lola.
Dusk and Eve Underwood have a fabulous den- made from an old broken lampshade, an old pair of trousers, a cocktail stick, fabric scraps, old makeup pigment, a few bits of card, pen and dental floss! I love this one, and it cost almost nothing.
There's a few to spot here- first, the house is made of a shoebox!
The lamp is a bottlecap, paper straw and glue cap.
The tealight is a pony bead, airdry clay and a cm of black thread.
The bookshelf is five large lolly sticks.
The photo is an old magazine cutting, and the rug is from a patchwork kit we would have thrown away otherwise.
These beds belong to the McDonaldson (Hunter-Smythe) Labradors- and the bedding is made by me. I like to buy a kilo of waste scraps online, and ordered a girl theme and a boy theme set recently. The little yellow gingham pillow is Sylvanian, but I added the button and blue ribbon. George and Samantha (Hector and Isabella) are very happy with the results.
